Texas Retina’s Wayne A. Solley, MD, was recently invited to teach first- and fourth-year medical students at the Texas Christian University (TCU) Burnett School of Medicine in Fort Worth. He will be holding a lecture and practical training on the anatomy of the eye and the approach to the ophthalmology patient. Dr. Solley will also be starting a clinical rotation for students who are interested in pursuing ophthalmology.
“I love TCU’s focus on training the next generation of physicians to be compassionate, excel in communication and place the patient at the center of everything,” shares Dr. Solley. “This aligns with my personal philosophy of patient care. I’m excited for the opportunity to share my knowledge and experience as a retina specialist and hopefully inspire some of our brightest young minds to become ophthalmologists.”
Dr. Solley joined Texas Retina in 1999 and will continue to care for patients in our Arlington, Grapevine and Wichita Falls offices. He also serves as Texas Retina’s Director of Clinical Research for Arlington.
