Texas Retina is pleased to welcome board-certified ophthalmologist and retina specialist Benjamin R. Lin, MD, to our practice on September 2, 2025. Serving patients in our Dallas Main, Dallas North and Plano offices, he will provide care for a full range of vitreoretinal conditions, including macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy and uveitis.

Dr. Lin comes to us from Bascom Palmer Eye Institute at the University of Miami in Florida, where he completed fellowship training in vitreoretinal surgery as well as his ophthalmology residency. While there, he also served as Chief Resident. Prior to that, Dr. Lin completed his internship at Riverside Community Hospital in Riverside, California, and earned his medical degree from David Geffen School of Medicine (DGSOM) at the University of California Los Angeles (UCLA).

Dr. Lin is passionate about research to discover new and better treatments to restore and maintain vision. He has presented at national medical meetings and has also published numerous peer-reviewed articles in international medical journals, including the American Journal of Ophthalmology, American Journal of Ophthalmology Case Reports, Journal of Academic Ophthalmology and Ophthalmology.
