Texas Retina’s research program is one of the largest in the country for a community-based practice and rivals those of some of the largest academic medical centers. In fact, our sub-specialized physician team has participated in more than 75 national clinical trials over the past 20 years, testing promising new treatments — including drugs not yet available to the public — for a variety of retina conditions, including diabetic macular edema, age-related macular degeneration, uveitis, vein occlusion and posterior vitreous detachment.
