Texas Retina’s research program is one of the largest in the country for a community-based practice and rivals those of some of the largest academic medical centers. We are involved in a number of national clinical trials, testing promising new treatments -- including drugs not yet available to the public -- for a variety of retina conditions, including diabetic macular edema, drusen, age-related macular degeneration, uveitis, vein occlusion and posterior vitreous detachment.
